The HVL-1 was designed from the ground up to provide high value for those on a budget.

By not only concentrating on the high and low ends, and giving critical midrange equal attention where most of the sound is reproduced, the HVL-1 is well balanced from top to bottom. In evaluating other speakers in the price range, we felt there were areas that were lacking that we wanted to tackle, overall balance (highs, lows, and midrange), and build quality. We feel we hit the mark and the HVL-1 is the reference in its price point, and have posted measurements to back it up.

The speaker utilizes a custom 1" soft dome tweeter, custom 5.25" woofer, and a front port for easier placement within the room. The port is also flared internally and externally to minimize port noise.

Not only does the HVL-1 use quality components, but to get the balanced sound, extensive work was also put into its crossover network between the woofer and tweeter. It is not a high crossover point or a shallow slope, but a Linkwitz-Riley 4th order acoustic design worthy of more expensive speakers.
